In 2024, I walked away from a life that looked right on paper.
“I was out on the water at Gifford Pinchot State Park in Pennsylvania, kayaking alone on a beautiful day. It was the only thing that had been breathing life into me lately. At some point I just stopped paddling, pulled my notebook out of my drybag, and wrote two questions at the top of the page: What is still making me feel stuck? What do I want to do? Three things came to mind immediately.
-
01
Move somewhere that genuinely feels like home.
-
02
Work with companies whose missions I actually believed in.
-
03
Find my people. Not proximity friends. People actually building toward something.
I had been through what I can only describe as an identity death and rebirth. Years of building a life shaped by what I thought others wanted from me, followed by the slow recognition that almost none of it was what I wanted. That list on the water was the moment I stopped negotiating with myself.
A few weeks later the universe seemed to agree. A relationship ended. My landlord passed away and my rent doubled overnight. I took both as confirmation.
So I saved money, gave away almost everything I owned, and on September 18, 2024, I packed three suitcases into my Bronco and drove across the country to Portland. The second I pulled out of that driveway I had never felt more alive.
The Gorge. The trails. The water. The people already living by the values I was growing into. I found my community, I found my work, and I built Root & Reach Media from the same clarity that produced that list.
I am selective by design. Every client I take on is a company I would tell a friend to trust, work I actually want to share, a mission I can put my name behind without reservation.
Outside of work
I train every day. Fitness and wellness are non-negotiable, not as discipline but because physical wellbeing is the foundation of everything else I do well.
Weekends are for quality time with my fiancé, the outdoors, and slowing down intentionally. That looks like hiking, paddleboarding, neighborhood walks, reading with a good cup of kava or cacao, and unwinding with a juicy yoga class. I eat organic, live as clean as I can, and take that same standard of care seriously in everything I do.
I have a deep interest in plant medicine, alternative healing, and the therapeutic dimensions of what modern science is only now beginning to take seriously.
I love listening to podcasts and staying current in my field. The ever-evolving landscape around SEO and AI search fascinates me.
AI Search and Local SEO
I specialize in two disciplines because depth produces better results than breadth. AI search optimization is where I am most intensively focused right now.

Limited roster. Real attention.
I keep my roster deliberately small because this model only works when I can give each business genuine strategic attention. You work directly with me.
