About Nikki Norris | Local SEO & AI Search Specialist | Root & Reach Media — Vancouver WA
Founder & Specialist — Root & Reach Media — Vancouver, WA

The full team
is me. That is
the whole model.

I am Nikki Norris. I do local SEO and AI search optimization for mission-driven service businesses and e-commerce brands. I built this practice around a single non-negotiable: only work with businesses I would vouch for without hesitation.

Vancouver, WA Pacific Northwest & Nationwide Google Ads Certified 12+ years

Four disciplines. Deep expertise in all of them.

01

AI Search Optimization

Getting your business recommended by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI when people search for what you do. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) for businesses that want to own the emerging search landscape, not catch up to it later.

02

Premium Local SEO

Strategic search optimization for businesses competing in real markets. Technical depth, authoritative content, and competitive positioning that builds the kind of organic presence that keeps working long after the work is done. Vancouver WA, Portland OR, and competitive markets nationwide.

03

Brand Voice Development

A consistent, authentic voice across every platform where your clients find you. Messaging framework, founder thought leadership, social media management, and the content consistency that turns a brand into an authority. The foundation that makes everything else in marketing more effective.

04

Strategic Paid Advertising

Google Ads campaigns that generate qualified leads while organic visibility builds. Google Ads certified. 12+ years of active campaign management in competitive markets.

In 2024, I walked away from a life that looked right on paper.

“I was out on the water at Gifford Pinchot State Park in Pennsylvania, kayaking alone on a beautiful day. It was the only thing that had been breathing life into me lately. At some point I just stopped paddling, pulled my notebook out of my drybag, and wrote two questions at the top of the page: What is still making me feel stuck? What do I want to do? Three things came to mind immediately.

  • 01

Move somewhere that genuinely feels like home.

  • 02

Work with companies whose missions I actually believed in.

  • 03

Find my people. Not proximity friends. People actually building toward something.

I had been through what I can only describe as an identity death and rebirth. Years of building a life shaped by what I thought others wanted from me, followed by the slow recognition that almost none of it was what I wanted. That list on the water was the moment I stopped negotiating with myself.

A few weeks later the universe seemed to agree. A relationship ended. My landlord passed away and my rent doubled overnight. I took both as confirmation.

So I saved money, gave away almost everything I owned, and on September 18, 2024, I packed three suitcases into my Bronco and drove across the country to Portland. The second I pulled out of that driveway I had never felt more alive.

The Gorge. The trails. The water. The people already living by the values I was growing into. I found my community, I found my work, and I built Root & Reach Media from the same clarity that produced that list.

I am selective by design. Every client I take on is a company I would tell a friend to trust, work I actually want to share, a mission I can put my name behind without reservation.

Outside of work

I train every day. Fitness and wellness are non-negotiable, not as discipline but because physical wellbeing is the foundation of everything else I do well.

Weekends are for quality time with my fiancé, the outdoors, and slowing down intentionally. That looks like hiking, paddleboarding, neighborhood walks, reading with a good cup of kava or cacao, and unwinding with a juicy yoga class. I eat organic, live as clean as I can, and take that same standard of care seriously in everything I do.

I have a deep interest in plant medicine, alternative healing, and the therapeutic dimensions of what modern science is only now beginning to take seriously.

I love listening to podcasts and staying current in my field. The ever-evolving landscape around SEO and AI search fascinates me.

Core specialization

AI Search and Local SEO

I specialize in two disciplines because depth produces better results than breadth. AI search optimization is where I am most intensively focused right now.

Location

Vancouver, WA. Clients nationwide.

All work is conducted remotely via video and direct communication. If you are local to Vancouver or Portland, I am always open to coffee in person first.

Credentials

Google Ads Certified. 12+ years.

Sustained through active campaign management across competitive markets. More than a decade of practical work across local SEO, paid search, AI search, and brand strategy.

The model

Limited roster. Real attention.

I keep my roster deliberately small because this model only works when I can give each business genuine strategic attention. You work directly with me.

Industries where my understanding runs deepest. And why that is not the whole picture.

The businesses below represent spaces where I bring personal depth alongside professional knowledge. I live in these worlds, which produces a different quality of work for brands operating in them.

But they are not a gate. Every client I work with, regardless of industry, is doing genuinely good work and raising the standard in their field. The mission is the real qualifier. The industry is secondary.

If your business is not listed here and you are doing work that changes how your industry is perceived, that is exactly the kind of client this practice was built for.

Wellness and Functional Health

Supplements, functional nutrition, longevity practices, and the companies raising the standard in preventative health. Brands built around what it actually means to feel well.

Plant Medicine and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy

Retreats, practitioners, and clinics working with psilocybin, ketamine, MDMA-assisted therapy, and traditional plant medicines. Businesses navigating complex communications with integrity intact.

Non-Toxic and Clean Living

Clean beauty, non-toxic skincare, organic household products, and the brands whose customers read ingredient labels. Companies for whom non-toxic is a standard, not a trend.

Outdoor Recreation and Adventure

Gear companies, guiding services, and brands built around the conviction that time in nature changes people.

Organic Food, Beverage, and Kava

Organic producers, kava bars, functional beverage brands, and ceremonial cacao suppliers. Businesses building culture around conscious consumption.

Mind-Body and Integrative Medicine

Yoga studios, pilates, somatic practitioners, naturopathic clinics, and the healthcare professionals treating the whole person. The practitioners redefining what healthcare can look like.

Beyond the list

An education company reimagining how people learn and access knowledge. A technology company with a genuine ethical framework. A professional services firm that decided volume was not the point. If you are doing work that changes how your field is perceived and you care about doing it right, this practice is for you regardless of what the category is.

A few things every client should know before we start

Direct access, always
You communicate with me directly. Text, email, call. You will never be routed to an account manager or receive updates from someone who was not part of the strategy conversation.
Results over reports
I focus on qualified leads, conversions, and the visibility that produces revenue. Pageviews and impressions are not the main goal. Your business growth is.
Strategic honesty
If a strategy is not right for your situation, I will tell you before I take your money. I built this practice to do work I believe in. I am not going to compromise that standard with any individual client.
You own everything
Every account, asset, and piece of content created during our engagement belongs to you. If you ever stop working with me, you leave with everything fully intact.

This field changes fast. I am constantly learning.

In May 2026 I attended the Women In Tech SEO Conference in Portland, Oregon, where the most current research on what’s working in AI search, generative engine optimization, and the future of organic visibility was presented by women leading the field.

I stay current because the businesses I work with need someone who knows where things are heading, not where they currently are. The AI search landscape in particular is moving fast enough that last year’s knowledge is already outdated.
